Lauren Preissl Lauren Preissl (RHYTAG Alum: Mentor in Writing/Acting/Indigenous Education with Cultural Expression/Community Dialogue Facilitator)

Lauren is an indigenous actor working on the unceded, traditional, and ancestral lands of the coast salish people. Her family roots are tied to the Leq’a:mel of Sto:lo Nation, Squamish from Xwemelch’stn, and Katzie Nation as well as Canadian settler heritage. Lauren was a writer/actor with Some Assembly’s RHYTAG projects 2012-2016. Since then she graduated from Studio 58 Theatre and was head facilitator of the student lead diversity committee her final year. Lauren has returned to Some Assembly as a mentor in writing, acting and Indigenous education with cultural expression. Pre-Pandemic acting credits include Rosie (Cabaret), Claire (Monster-Hot House), Charmian (Shakespeare’s Antony and Cleopatra), Mr. Zyclo’s Pet Bird (Anonymous), and Rain (The Weather Report, UBC New Writers festival).
