Tina Biello (Poet/Playwright)
Tina comes from Duncan BC, and is born of immigrant parents. She is an actor, poet and playwright. She has had the great privilege of mentoring with poet Patrick Lane since 2008.Her first full-length book of poetry, In the Bone Cracks of the Walls, was shortlisted for the Bressani Prize and was part of a multi-disciplinary art exhibition in Montreal, Vancouver and Italy. She has written 2 more books of poetry, A Housecoat Remains and Playing into Silence. She was Poet Laureate of Nanaimo from 2017-2020. She is working on a play with Lorna Crozier based on a book of poems she wrote called A Saving Grace.
